New Fabric, and Oops goes the Table Runner

There is one Walmart left near me that still has a fabric department, and because it is affordable and I like some of the collections I went there on Friday and shopped. I bought two sets, and I could have bought more but I stopped myself (I will go back, I'm sure.) what I will make is yet unknown, but I am planning to make the pinwheel party quilt by Twiddletails so maybe I'll use one of the sets for that.

My table runner is turning into a disaster, but I'm soldiering on with it. I know I'll use it even with mistakes. I bought a darning foot for my Kenmore ( I love my sewing machine - it's made by Janome with the Kenmore name), and I experimented with it today on the table runner. I worked on only one block, and some of the stitching is okay and the rest is coming out. I am going to finish it either today or tomorrow and move on to something else, probably the pinwheel quilt.

Some random pictures of Moxie, a tree in my yard that if flowering for the first time this year, daffodils, tulips, and something else I planted the name of which I can't remember.

  1. Nice fabrics and love your other pictures, too. Heck...we all have projects that we've used to "learn" and there's nothing wrong with that. With table runners I've made that weren't so great, I just pile things on them and it covers up the bad areas!!! LOL

  2. I can't see anything wrong with the runner and I am sure once you get it finished you will not either.
