I'm joining in today on the Christmas Quilt Along that Sue of Quilt Times and Cathi of Shakerwood Quilts host each month. I've had an unfinished project that I hope to get closer to finishing today, and that is the wreath quilt from Erik's Homemade Ezine's qal.
It has a wide border and I didn't think I had enough fabric so I will have to see what I've got to make it work. Also, I think the middle is too plain. I don't know what to do with it but it needs something.
See you later.
Hmm. Maybe an appliqued red bow or two? Not sure, but I think that it could do with something to give it a bit of oomph. I look forward to seeing what you decide!
ReplyDeleteI thought applique too, how about angels? Stars? Ore the red bows that Hazel suggested.
ReplyDeleteEven a border made from two fabrics would look good. I sometimes use two fabrics by doing 3/4 of a border on one side and then carry that fabric around to about 1/4 or 1/3 of the next side. Then use the second fabric in the same manner. I join the fabrics with a 45 degree angle.
