Moxie's my black cat, and I have made a table runner with black cat silhouette blocks. I used Kay Mackensie's applique templates from her book Easy Applique Blocks and just made my own design. The background fabric is the cutest fabric with cats galore literally hanging around a sewing room. I just love it. It must be fun to have a menagerie of cats and dogs, although my one cat tends to rule here.
The critic.
The tough critic.
Is that a bad review or do you like it so much you are making it yours?I also want to share the Lollipop Playground wall hanging I just completed, also a Kay Mackenzie design from her book Scrap-Applique Playground. I added the AccuQuilt Go! dog and that makes it appropriate for the Pets on Quilts show.
Enjoy the Pets on Quilts show. Thank you to Snoodles of Lily Pad Quilting for hosting and working so hard to make this show happen.

I love your post! Beautiful kitty....I'm on my way back to look for your linky. If I don't see it, I'll try to email and let you know. You might have to try it again, I'm not sure. Thanks for joining our party!
ReplyDelete(Hopping up and down) It's there! Yay!
ReplyDeleteMs Cha Cha said Moxie must be a relative because the beautiful cat on the runner (and the real one) look amazingly just like she does. Love the runner!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty kitty. I have always loved a black cat. Your quilts are beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteSilhouettes- what a great idea! Perfect when the model is black! Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteThe silhouettes are perfect for that fabric! The "Critic" really loves the quilts......he just wants to make you nervous......lol...the lollipop wallhanging is adorable.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post!!! Love "the Critic"
ReplyDeleteCats do have a way of ruling the roost- Your critic is seems to approve- Lovely quilt and beautiful cat.
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating in the blog hop.

I think Moxie loved the runner so much, and was trying to sneak off with it!
ReplyDeleteI think the critic approves. I know I do!
ReplyDeleteI have some of that cat print - now I know what to do with it - but I would have to have one tabby and one black kitty on mine. Yes, paws up - a definate approval.
ReplyDeleteAlthough they say we are our own toughest critic, I'd say you have a pretty tough critic there in Moxie--though you must have passed approval! Like the little doggie you added to your quilt--gives it a spunky look!
ReplyDeleteShe's beautiful! I have that material also and sometimes feel like my cats cause that much trouble!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Moxie is claiming the runner, doesn't everything belong to the cat in the family?
ReplyDeleteI think she is giving it a thumbs up!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely quilt designs! Love the Lollipop Playground with the pooch addition. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteI love the lollipop quilt.
ReplyDeleteOf course she needs to smoosh any cat interlopers on her quilts!
I really like your silhouettes on the quilts - they mirror your pets.
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure that is a stamp of approval. Lollipop is great!
ReplyDeleteCute cat fabric, I've never seen it before. And I love your little inspector.
ReplyDeleteMoxie never had glasses on and went to fetch them that's all. I LOVE IT.... a whole house filled with pets, it can be hard work :-) But your never short of friends, especially at meal times :-) x x x

ReplyDeleteI love your quilt, and your cat. I recently bought a house and I am going to get a second kitty and I'm looking for a black kitty..Ilove black kitties! A few months ago my Mother and I were on a walk and found a sweet black kitten wandering around, no collar...my parents adopted and spayed her..she is such a love! http://www.flickr.com/photos/73024485@N07/7721006258/in/photostream

ReplyDeleteHow freaking sweet those appliquéd quilts are! I'm goin with kitty liking it so much he's making it his and not tw "I'm going to smother that cat". :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilts. I love both of them, thanks for sharing
