It's called the July Fourth block, and it's the 20th and last one. So this qal is coming to a close.
I'm up to 7 Swoon blocks and am aiming for 9. One block uses 2 fat quarters for the prints and probably another FQ for the background. I usually don't get more than one block made in a day. Has anyone else found that when they make this block?
Sunday was a good day for crocus hunting.
And some daffodils.
There are more out there but we still have snow and some are still covered, but I was happy to see them coming up.
God Bless!
I've not made the large swoon block (did a mini size for a doll quilt once) but one a day sounds resonable. It's the joy of the journey. Our early flowers are still pretty deep under snow, so I hope they are still resting.
ReplyDeleteGreat fabrics for your Ben Franklin. I cut out the fabrics, but that's as far as a got...:)
ReplyDeleteBoth blocks look lovely, especially the swoon one. What colour are your crocus? Take care.
ReplyDeleteBoth blocks are really lovely , I have never made a swoon block but that sounds reasonable for that size block . Lucky you having flowers coming up , ours are still very much buried :-(
ReplyDeleteGonna have to send you some Spring flowers :-) Ours have had a head start they have been watered well :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful blocks as always :-) x x x
