Before you see the easiest quilt ever, these are the Block Head blocks I've made so far. I'm still using a Moda Scrap Bag, but I did get some yardage for later. I love these earthy shades.
This is the easy quilt. I received a free pattern from an order I placed with Suzzette's Fabrics. It is just 10 inch squares sewn together with sashing and corner stones. This is going to Hands2Help. My jolly bar quilt doesn't meet the size requirements and I don't have any fabric even close to the shades in that quilt, so it's just easier to make another quilt. I really like this easy quilt.
This is the most recent Solstice block, Honey Bee. I've got to sew on the petals, but I'm hoping to get other things done today.
That's it.
Have a wonderful week.
God Bless You.
What a good idea for a quick quilt using a layer cake. The Block Head blocks are lovely colours & reminds me of something vintage looking. Think I did a honey bee block on a sampler quilt many years ago. Now I need to see if I did or not. Hmmm! Have a good week & take care.
ReplyDeleteWhat great projects you are working on now. Your Solstice blocks are beautiful and I think the colors are striking together. Happy Stitching!
ReplyDeleteA lot of fun happening over here.....enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteHi Joanna!
ReplyDeleteLove your "Honey Bee" block...I made a quilt years ago and gave it as a present to my son and his wife, they were so pleased with it! It was a fun block to works with.

Your moda blocks are lovely and so is the bee block . The simple quilt is very pretty and will be much appreciated by the recipient .
