I think the border on my
Mix 'n Match quilt looks more like books on a shelf than piano keys, so I'm going with that name. And, wouldn't you figure, I ran out of white fabric in big enough sizes to use in the corners so I used the owl fabric to make book ends. I think it works. So, the quilt top is finished. I hope I get right on making the quilt sandwich and quilt it, so it doesn't join the other UFO's I have stacked up.
Doesn't that look like books on a shelf? Or is it just me?
Thank you to
Denise Russart of Justquiltin' for this pattern and the sew along last weekend. I surprised myself by joining in, but have enjoyed my week of sewing.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
God Bless You.
Your quilt is so beautiful! It was so much fun to see it go from start to finish. Well done!
ReplyDeleteBook shelf is a good description. Could have been skyscrapers.
ReplyDeleteYes, they do look like books and just love your owl corners. Clever remedy. Hope your weekend is going well and take care.
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely Joanna and yes it does look like books on a shelf. Lovely border !
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun quilt and I do love that outer border.
ReplyDeleteThe border is great. I agree with you about it looking like books on there. My first thought was they're like all the ring binders you can buy nowadays with bright covers, unlike the dark blue or green that were available when I was a student.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt with beautiful book shelf border. I love owls and they are just right as bookends.
ReplyDeleteWonderful quilt! I love your border and the corner solution! Great finish.
